This White Volakas marble fireplace design uses a polished stepped mantel to sharpen an English Regency outline. The two views show a visible wood-burning firebox, integrated legs at each side, and light carving around the opening. With no overmantel, the design finishes at the mantel and keeps the upper wall visually open.
What makes the AZ-FP-257 composition distinct?
The polished face gives the pale marble and fine veining a brighter response to light than a honed finish. Its stepped ledge is visible across the front and returns down the sides, creating a strong horizontal pause above the firebox. The shallow carved detail remains quiet enough to suit a traditional interior without overpowering other moldings.
Can the fireplace use another stone?
Yes. We can discuss natural alternatives or engineered stone, provided engineered stone is understood to be not natural stone. The surround can be adapted to the fireplace opening and surrounding wall, and we support one-off custom work as well as larger production quantities. The installing team should determine safe firebox spacing, wall support, and compliance with local rules.
