Stepped frame in two finishes
The English/Regency design uses a stepped mantel, light carving, and integrated legs around a visible hearth. Its three site views compare polished and honed treatments of White Volakas marble on the same stepped profile, making the difference in surface reflection easy to judge. There is no overmantel, so the stone stops at the raised shelf and leaves the wall above open. The extra change in level at the mantel distinguishes it from a simple straight Regency frame.
