Straight surround with an overmantel
This English/Regency design combines a straight mantel with light carving and integrated legs. Unlike the other straight Regency example in this batch, it includes a built-up overmantel above the shelf, making the full surround rise higher around the firebox. White Volakas marble is shown in polished and honed views, with a visible hearth below. The overmantel is the detail that gives this frame its taller, more formal proportion.
Material and proportion choices
The design can be considered in White Volakas marble or another natural stone such as travertine or green marble. See the White marble fireplaces for similar pale finishes. Dimensions can be changed to suit the wall and firebox, and the surround can be produced as a single piece or in bulk. Confirm current stock, finish, and the fixing and clearance details required by the installer before approving production drawings.
