This White Volakas marble fireplace design has an English Regency character: a stepped mantel, light relief carving and an overmantel above the shelf. The living-room view shows a pale, softly veined marble face around a gas firebox, with integrated legs carrying the surround toward the hearth line.
A stepped Regency surround with an upright overmantel
Horizontal steps define the composition more strongly than curved ornament. The restrained carving adds depth without hiding the stone, while the overmantel lengthens the silhouette. A polished finish lifts the white field; compare the proposed finish with the actual slabs before fabrication.
Custom stone and sizing
The same design direction can be produced in other natural marble or travertine selections, subject to slab review. Opening and outer dimensions are made to order, so the proportions can follow approved drawings. Ask the installer to confirm firebox clearances and wall fixing requirements against local regulations.
