Light carving provides a measured layer of detail without interrupting the large-scale Arabescato Corchia veining, and the polished finish sharpens the contrast between the white field and darker gray movement. There is no overmantel, so the fireplace reads as a clean stone frame around the firebox rather than a floor-to-ceiling feature.
This design can be adapted to another natural marble, travertine or limestone, as well as engineered stone. Engineered stone is a manufactured material and should not be described as natural stone.
