Travertine Fireplace AZ-FP-013

This travertine fireplace design takes a modern minimal approach: a straight mantel, integrated legs, a visible hearth and no applied carving. The honed finish keeps attention on the stone’s linear movement and the clean rectangular outline. The showroom view shows how a simple frame can anchor a room without an overmantel.

Travertine naturally contains voids, so filling and sealing are practical decisions for a fireplace surround. Filled and sealed stone is easier to keep clean, while the finish should be selected from a physical sample because travertine varies in tone and surface. The mantel and legs can be reproduced in another suitable natural stone or adjusted to suit the room. The installer must confirm the clearance between stone and firebox, the wall fixing and the requirements of the local building code.
